    • Met officer Neil Billany says drivers' sex attacks and other crimes go unreported
    • His letter reveals 'significant concern' that only minor incidents are reported
    • London Assembly transport chair says the company's 'cover-up' is 'shameful'
    • One driver is said to have reached for pepper spray during a road rage episode
    • The firm's licence is being considered for renewal and is set to run out this year

'This apparent cover-up of reports about such serious criminal activity is shameful.'

TfL called the failure to report 'totally unacceptable' and said it will form 'part of the consideration' about whether Uber's licence is extended past September 30 after being renewed in May.

I like seeing Uber finally getting some of their own medicine. They at least have 21 days to file an appeal and can operate while they do. Deactivated (without notice) Uber drivers can't say the same.

Uber is obviously a rabid dog and must be put down now. Unless of course they radically change their approach and treatment of drivers/workers, governments and the law.

Heaps of better paying rideshare alternatives around now and even more are coming....stuff Uber! They are finally getting what they deserve.

Adopting and sticking to a business model which must relay on the exploitation of workers and the law will always have its consequences... You can fool some people some times but you cant fool everyone all the time.

Australia is probably next to boot them!
