This was posted recently over a popular Facebook group by one of the drivers. Beware, don't let this happen to you.

I received a ride request towards my set destination I went to pick up the customer and they weren’t there, they called me and said they had accidentally dropped their pin in the wrong spot and they are in the city. They then told me, that are happy to Wait for me to come to the location.

I picked up the passenger and realised after that they had intentionally ordered an Uber outside to avoid the surge charge. Hence why they were happy to wait for me to pick them up.
