    Looks like Uber is actually going to deactivate drivers who haven't applied for a hire car license from January 21st.

    Couldn't care less. My days as an Uber driver are over.

    It's hardly their fault - it is a legislative requirement. It will be illegal to drive any kind of hire car from that date without it.

    I agree. The cut off dates are there to ensure drivers get into it as soon as possible.

    Wait...Is this State legislation or Australia wide? I never got any email regarding this...

    It's the new state legislation in Victoria.

    It's confusing how every state is different in its requirements. You guys got uber stickers on your back windows yet?
