A 35 min fare got taken off me as I got a message the wrong rider took the trip. But what happened was that the rider was at the location but did not enter the vehicle as they told me to take 2 friends home instead. This Is why the entered drop off Address was different to the one showing for me in the app. Sounds to me like I got played.
This is becoming more common l have had 4 similar experiences in the past month. Don't let them get away with it . Go to the green light and explain to Uber what happened and do it as so as you can there is a time limit on fare adjustments. Also report it in the app. They haave been pretty good at helping me with this. I keep telling uber that the driver has no security , all we have is a first name and no way to check who is getting in our car.
