http://time.com/4696639/the-latest-victim-of-ubers-disruption-may-be-itself/ Funnily enough, one of the Greyball feature according to this article is, well, ghost cars, so very familiar to all of us here in Australia. Yet, Uber swears they don't use Greyball anymore, at least not 'to target action by local regulators'. Also, this is an interesting bit I didn't know about US: Earlier this year, Uber agreed to pay $20 million to the agency, which charged that the company’s advertising had misled recruits about how much income they could expect to earn as drivers. Hello drivers!
Masters of deception. Funny to see some drivers still falling for this illusion and think the streets this morning were full of cars. Full of Uber you know what...
Not a huge surprise to see drivers, passengers, governments, media and the entire world falling for this illusion. My question is somewhat in a different direction - how long will it take Victorian Government to stop pretending the rest of the world that ALREADY busted the same company for this exact dodgy behaviour, many, many times over, - doesn't exist and all they are dealing with is Uber's bullshit in their ears. They haven't even acknowledged that there is a workplace legislation problem in their state (in case of Uber that is). Of course Uber will get away with whatever they can get away with, that's all they know how to do.
