Account deactivated while DA application is pending

    I received an email from Uber last week inviting me to do the DA (driver accreditation) via the Uber channels. I booked the doctor appointment for Monday. This morning, my account got deactivated pointing to the driver accreditation documents missing or pending. What the hell!

    I am wondering who else has had this experience and how long does it take Uber to finalize this process and have the DA application complete and the account activated. Melbourne, Australia.

    Somebody complained on facebook during (before?) last strike about deactivation due to no DA. Seemed crazy at the time.

    Somebody else I know was deactivated 'pending' vehile inspection after first year. Lovely treatment of experienced drivers in the 'top 5%'.

    Apparently it was due to some other document which i allready uploaded a few days ago. No one looked at that document yet. All good now.

    So... let me get it straight.

    Everything Uber needed, Uber had.
    Uber couldn't find their own ass in their own system
    Uber deactivated driver for half a day because of ^
    Driver had to contact Uber and find their ass for them in their own system
    Uber restored driver.
    Driver is happy and grateful to Uber for being so caring, supportive and professional :p

    Not to mention this robot has no phone number or even proper "contact us" links when you click "help" and, if you happen to find some page that lets you submit an enquiry, you must wait around 48 hours for some muppet to email you back a script hinting on what MAY be wrong.

    Ass holes.
