RSDU announcing No Uber! Tuesday & Wednesday in Melbourne [2nd & 3rd of May]

    Following Uber failure to meet our full list of demands by the deadline, RSDU is now calling all members and and any Uber driver in Melbourne/Victoria and announcing the following actions:

    Log-OFF this Tuesday 2/5/2017 from 6:30AM until 5:00PM


    Log-OFF this Wednesday 3/5/2017 from 1:00PM until 5:00PM

    in protest over our poor pay and working conditions, safety concerns and Uber failure to fully comply with our demands.

    We have recently posted a letter to Uber new General Manager in Victoria with a copy of our list of demands. The letter was addressed to Uber’s new general Manager, Mr. Lucas Groeneveld and has been confirmed received.

    As stated in our letter, we expected Uber to fully comply with our list of demands on or before the deadline of Friday 28/4/2017. Uber did not comply. Base rates remained unchanged at same low, unsustainable, loss making levels to date.

    Following Uber’s failure to address our demands and raise the rates by the deadline, Ride Share Drivers United are now beginning to intensify and prolong disruptions to Uber service in Melbourne in the coming weeks until our demands are.. [click here to read the full announcement]
